• Mary Maxim Mohair 1 skein
• Suggested Needles: One 29" circular needle size 9 US,(Canadian 30" size 5, Metric 80 cm size 5.50 mm)

TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE

Gauge or Tension:

13 sts and 17 rows to 4" [10 cm], measured over Stocking stitch using suggested needle or any size needle which will give the correct stitch gauge or tension.

Note: Hand wash in cool water, gentle detergent. Remove moisture and lay flat to dry.

Special Abbreviations:

M1 - Make one stitch: Knit into the front and the back of the same stitch. To Make: Cast on 6 sts. Row 1 and every alternate row following: Knit
Row 2: K1, M1, k4, M1, k1 - 8 sts.
Row 4: K1, M1, k6, M1, k1 - 10 sts.
Row 6: K1, M1, k8, M1, k1 - 12 sts.
Row 8: K5, yo, k2, yo, k5. - 14 sts.
Row 10: K5, yo, k4, yo, k5 - 16 sts.
Row 12: K5, yo, k6, yo, k5 - 18 sts.
Row 14: K5, yo, k8, yo, k5 - 20 sts
Row 16: K5, yo, k10, yo, k5 - 22 sts
Row 18: knit
Now work in pattern as follows:
Row 1: K5, yo, k1, (k2tog, yo) to last 6 sts, k1, yo, k5 - 24 sts.
Row 2: Knit all sts including yo's.
Rows 3: K5, yo, k to last 5 sts, yo, k5 - 26 sts.
Row 4: knit
Rows 5-12: Repeat Rows 3 and 4 four times.
Repeat these last 12 rows 15 times more.
Repeat Rows 1-6 once more - 210 sts on last row.
Using a larger needle (we used an 8.0mm/size 11)cast off loosely knitwise.
