Instructions
- Cut your fabric in half 3 yards each.
- Lay fabric inside pieces together and sew one side to make it into a square.
- Iron down the stick so it lays flat.
- Take the quilting batting and lay on the canvas. Measure a square that is 1” less than your canvas. Repeat this step 4 times to give you 4 squares of batting.
- Hand stitch the batting around the outside so it holds together.
- Spread around the E6000 glue generously on to the front of the canvas.
- Lay your batting on top and wait for glue to dry.
- Lay your décor fabric over the top of the batting & canvas. Make sure seam is close to the bottom of the canvas.
- Trim fabric around the out side leaving about 3” extra to be wrapped around frame.
- Wrap fabric around to the back of the frame & staple fabric to the back. (make sure you are pulling tight enough so you don’t leave wrinkles.)
- Flip the canvas so it’s on its front and staple 1” in next to your batting. It will give you a flat edge finish around your headboard.
- Make two large fabric buttons and stitch them on your frame using a canvas needle. It will pull the batting in to give you a tufted look.
- Take your ribbon, using fabric glue. Glue down over your staples to give it a finished look.
