Directions

  • Begin by cutting  one 24 inch piece of beading wire, along with a 26 inch, and 28 inch piece.
  • Begin with your 24 inch piece of wire clip on a bead stopper and string on 3 inches of bead “A”,  then string pattern as follows: “B, A, B, A, B, A” then “D, A,  B, A”, ( REPEAT 10 TIMES), then “B, A, B, A, B”, then string another 3 inches of “A” match the other side.  Clip another bead stopper to temporarily secure your work, and set aside.
  • Using the 26 inch piece of wire with a bead stopper, string on the beads in the following pattern:  3 inches of bead “A”, then string pattern as follows: “B, A, B, A, B, A, C”, (REPEAT 5 TIMES), “B, A, B, A, B”, and then 3 inches of bead “A” to match the other side.  Again secure your work with an additional bead stopper.
  • Using the 28 inch piece of wire and a bead stopper, string on the beads in the following pattern: 3 inches of bead “A”, “B, A, D, D, D, D, A,  (REPEAT 10 TIMES), then add the 3 inches of bead “A”, secure with bead stopper, and set aside.
  • Add a crimp tube to one end of your 24 inch wire, crimp to the inside loop of one side of your three strand closure, trim off excess wire.

*Tip> Leave your closure fastened together when making a multi strand necklace, this helps me correctly connect the other end of the beaded wire to the coordinating loop of the clasp.

  • Thread another crimp tube onto the other end of the 24 inch piece beaded wire, run wire through the inside loop of the opposite end of the closure,  and back through the crimp tube, pull snug before crimping, crimp and trim off excess wire.
  • Layout out the other two strands to make sure you like the way they lay together, you can now add or remove a couple of beads to each side to until you like the look.
  • To crimp the remaining strand repeat step 5 and 6, making sure that the longest link is attached to the outside loops of the closure.
