Shopping List

• 3-12mm strands of shimmer crystal beads (72 total)
• 1 1/2 inch eye pins (72 or more)
• 6 thick 6-7 mm jump rings
• Two large hammer tone rings by Tierra Cast
• 1 1/2 yards of satin and 1 1/2 inch wide ribbon (same on both sides non wired)
• Two matching pendants/broaches that are medium sized
• Sewing thread to match ribbon

Tools

• Side cutters
• Round nose pliers
• Chain nose pliers
• Sewing needle, scissors and Fray Check for the ribbon ends (optional but recommended)

Instructions

1. Start by creating the center strand of link beads. Use one whole strand for this (24 beads), begin by linking the beads together by loading one bead onto each eye pin and turning the eye loop with your round nose pliers at the opposite end to match the factory eye loop. Repeat 24 times and set this section aside.
2. Repeat step one with 21 shimmer crystal beads for the inside strand of the necklace and use 27 beads to create the outside strand of the necklace. Then set both of those strands aside.
3. To attach the ribbon to the hammer tone rings, pull ribbon through, fold under the unfinished edge and stitch in place approx. 1" above ring. Try stitching the edges rather than going straight across for a cleaner look. Cut ribbon in half and at a sharp angle at the tails.
4. Attach each shimmer crystal linked bead strand (starting with the shorter one first), to the hammer tone ring with a thick 6-7mm jump ring. Repeat at each end, and for each beaded linked strand (strands should cascade down).
5. For the finishing touch, stitch on two matching pendants or broaches just above the hammer tone rings on each side. *Optional: Add a touch of Fray Check to the ends of the ribbon to prevent it from fraying over time.
