Directions:

  1. Cut 7 pieces of 10” long wire.   Fold wire in half and pinch to a point, slide onto one side of wire nine 4mm Olive crystals, then slide eight 4mm Olive crystals onto the other side, twist two ends together just below the crystals to form a leaf shape.  Make 7 leaves total, and set aside. Note: be sure not cut off excess wire yet.

  2. Cut 6 pieces of 16” long wire.  Slide ten of the 4mm Rose 2xAB crystals onto one piece of wire, approximately 3-4” from one end twist wire together to form a loop with the crystals.  Slide ten more crystals onto the long end of the wire and carefully twist into a loop next to the first loop, now you can begin to see your flower take shape. Slide the last ten crystals onto the long end of the wire and twist to form the third petal of your flower.  Slide one 6mm crystal onto one end and loop it up over around to form the center of the flower, then twist both ends of he wire together just enough to keep your flower together.  Note: be sure not cut off excess wire yet.

  3. Repeat step 2, two more times using the Rose 2xAB crystals, then three more times with the Hyacinth 2xAB crystals. Note: be sure not to trim off excess wire yet.

  4. Using the Hyacinth 2xAB crystals make a larger flower by sliding fourteen crystals onto your wire to form each petal of the flower.  After making all three petals attach one of the smaller flowers to the top of your large one and twist wire together just enough to hold them together.  Then twist one of the leaves on to the base of the large flower.  Note: still not time to trim wire yet.

  5. Now attach two leaves to one of the smaller flowers, and one leave to each of the remaining flowers.

  6. Decide where you want the focal flower to be (side/center) and open wire tails enough to go around head band twist tightly and wrap ends of wire around in both directions to secure.  To relieve bulk, carefully trim one wire at a time.

  7. Repeat step 6, leaving approximately 1/2 inch between flowers.

  8. To finish, use a dot of hot glue to attach the green silk ribbon to one end of the comb section of the head band, begin wrapping the ribbon around the head band to cover the mechanics of your wiring, use a dot of glue at opposite end to finish.
