Cobalt Fire Ball Necklace

Instructions

  1. Bend a loop at one end of the spring wire necklace form. Set aside.

  2. Create 11 "Woven Crystal Balls"  or in our case Fire Polish. See "Woven Crystal Ball"  project sheet for detailed information.

  3. Load nine head pins with one 6mm fire polish bead each, trim, and turn an eye loop at the top of each.

  4. Load 13 eye pins with one 6mm fire polish each, and turn an eye loop at the end to match the factory turned end.

  5. Create eleven Fire Ball eye pins by sliding two 4mm fire polish beads, onto the eye pin, slide on a woven ball, and gently pop it over the second bead (bead will fit inside of the ball), then add another 4mm fire polish bead and turn an eye loop.

  6. Connect the following pieces together: 6mm head pin to a 6mm eye pin. Add a quick link connector to the top and squeeze closed. Create two like this. Connect a 6mm head pin, to a fire ball eye pin, and then a 6mm eye pin, and a quick link connector to the top. Create four like this, setting two a side for the earrings (with out quick link connectors).

  7. Repeat Step 7.) Adding another fire ball, and 6mm eye pin and quick link connector. Create two like this.

  8. Repeat Step 8.) Adding yet another fire ball, and 6mm eye pin and quick link connector. Just one of those (it is the center piece).

  9. Now that you have all the prep work done, you can begin stringing in the following pattern: two 4mm, one 6mm, repeat a total of 10 times.

  10. Slide one more 4mm fire polish bead on, and then your shortest dangle (the one with the to 6mm) then another 4mm, 6mm, and 4mm, slide on dangle with one fire ball, 4mm, 6mm, 4mm, dangle with two fire balls, 4mm, 6mm, 4mm, dangle with three fire balls.

  11. String the rest of the beads to be a mirror image of the first side, and trim off excess steel wire with wire sheers and turn an eye loop to complete necklace.

  12. Add fishhooks to the dangles that are left to make the matching earrings.
